Aristóteles y Dante descubren los secretos del universo El libro comienza en una mañana de verano de 1987, 15 de Junio para ser más exactos, con nuestro personaje principal Aristóteles Mendoza, llamado Ari por sus familiares, un adolescente de 15 años con una visión de la vida un tanto triste y oscura a pesar de su corta edad, y con una personalidad un tanto introvertida y tímida, lo cual ha generado que se vuelva una persona solitaria.
